Burnout affects over 50% of physicians.  In this session, we will offer practical evidence-based strategies to help mitigate burnout and help physicians to flourish in their personal and professional lives.  Participants will practice mindfulness-based skills and explore techniques matched to their individual needs.  Participants will leave with a detailed guide and an attainable goal to start to enhance their own well-being.

1.  Learn to identify strategies to mitigate burnout.

2.  Practice several strategies that have been proven effective.

3.  Create a specific goal to develop a personal strategic plan.

4.  Identify an accountability plan to ensure strategies will be implemented.

Facilitated by Karen Kingsolver, PhD, Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Duke University School of Medicine.
