Mastering Civility with Christine Porath

Incivility is prevalent in organizations, and it’s getting worse. The costs of incivility are rising, too. Christine Porath will discuss the varied ways incivility wrecks performance and robs the bottom line. In this interactive workshop, she will explain what civility buys you—and what you can focus on to be more effective. She will also share recommendations for what leaders should do to enhance their influence and craft a more respectful and thriving work environment.

Christine Porath is an Associate Professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and helps organizations build thriving workplaces. She’s the author of the award winning book, Mastering Civility: A Manifesto for the Workplace and co-author of The Cost of Bad Behavior.

Christine has written for the Harvard Business Review, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, McKinsey Quarterly, Washington Post, Psychology Today, and Thrive Global. She serves on the Advisory Council for the Partnership for Public Service. Porath has been recognized as a Top 100 Leadership Speaker.
