Mentoring Effectiveness: Relationship, Influence, and Values
In this highly interactive workshop, we’ll explore the research and practice behind ways to enhance skills as a mentor, in both the official and unofficial sense of the term. This includes exploring influence in the context of productive relationships, a variety of power and influence dynamics and techniques, active listening, having difficult conversations, and understanding the impact of values we each individually bring to the workplace - especially how those may either complement or compete. This workshop is specifically designed to help equip you with the skills and understanding you need in applying these topics to create effective mentoring relationships.
Facilitated by: David Sweetman, PhD, MBA, Adjunct Professor of Organizational Studies and Senior Director of HITS Education and Training.
