Resilience & Wellness: Optimism

This workshop will end at 12:50 p.m. to allow a break between meetings.

This workshop will focus on the benefits of optimism, and strategies for increasing resilience and optimism in our lives.

Optimism is one of the most important and well-studied protective factors in resilience. Deliberately cultivating an optimistic mindset can help individuals navigate stressors they encounter and increase overall well-being. 
Learning Objectives: 

  • Participants will learn the benefits of optimism in important domains of life, including relationships, health, and performance. 
  • Participants will learn six optimism strategies to increase resilience and build an optimistic mindset when it is beneficial. 

This workshop will be facilitated by David Fessell, MD, Professor of Radiology and Certified Executive Coach.
