Processing Time for Packets
Appointment packets require multiple levels of review. Keep in mind first time quality is important when submitting completed appointment packets to the Medical School Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA). Once OFA receives an accurate packet with no further corrections needed, the timeframe for approval is indicated below. It is requested that a candidate's appointment packet is submitted in advance of his/her/their appointment proposed start date keeping mind the required processing times as noted below.
Entry Level Appointments: 30 days prior to proposed start date

- Clinical Instructor
Early Career Appointments: 60 days prior to proposed start date
- Assistant Professor
- Clinical Assistant Professor
- Research Assistant Professor
- Assistant Research Scientist
Middle/Late Career Appointments: 90 days prior to proposed start date
