Design Your Life Lab

There has never been a more compelling need for new work-life design than now! The global pandemic has changed everything – the way we work, learn, celebrate, work out, care for families, and play. Employees at every level struggle with blurred boundaries, isolation, and burnout. And many feel stuck, unable to progress in their jobs and careers, as everyone waits for things to go back to “normal."

The Design Your Life Lab is an all-day immersive workshop created to help participants apply the creative practices of design thinking in order to craft a work-life that is more manageable, fulfilling and joyful. Facilitator Dr. Lynn Wooten, President of Simmons University, will walk faculty through the Design Your Life framework - with an emphasis on faculty career planning and creating space for participants to leave the session with their own individualized plan.

Participants will receive a copy of the New York Times Best SellerDesigning Your Life book and workbook!

Workshop Objectives

  • Identifying ways to apply design thinking to life planning (with an emphasis on career)
  • Describing the importance of aligning one's work view (the reason one works) with one's life view (areas that give life meaning)

Facilitator

Lynn Perry Wooten, Ph.D.
President, Simmons University
